When you first access the service, it will run a bandwidth detection test to see what level of connectivity you can support. This will depend on a number of factors, including:

The service offered by your ISP
The contention (sharing with other people)
The speed of your computer
Other web activity using your computer (eg using a file sharing package or downloading mail)

Sometimes you will find that the detected speed is lower than your theoretic speed for the above reasons.

If you wish, you can over-ride the detected speed and set it higher or lower.

You can visit the settings tab at any time. From here you can see which speed setting you are currently using. Click Retest once to perform another bandwidth speed test, then Confirm to resume viewing. You can also select another setting manually, then click Confirm.

Also, if your bandwidth drops during your viewing, a dialogue box will enable you to reset your connection speed and then continue viewing.
