Q: Either the video stutters or I get one of these errors:

Top  Previous  Next

“System Error”

“There seems to be a problem with the video stream.  Please try again.”

“Sorry, our servers are currently busy.  Please try again later.”

I have tried again later and get the same error.  What can I do?

A: First, make sure your browser is not working "offline" (there is an item on the File menu called "Work Offline" - make sure it is unchecked).  Also, be sure to allow the player through any firewalls.

Next, try switching to a different protocol.  On the settings tab there is a dropdown menu called “Media Servers”.  Select “Pop1 (http)” or select “mms” if you are already on http (only the mms/rstp setting works with Macs).  If a different “pop” is available for that channel, try that too.

If that does not work, try selecting a lower bitrate setting, then click “confirm”.  The player will refresh then resume playing the video.

You can also make sure the "Download codecs automatically" checkbox is checked.  See below for instructions.

Set Windows Media Player to download codecs automatically:

1.  Open Windows Media Player

2.  Press Ctrl+M to display the tool bar at the top of the window if it is not already showing

3.  Select Tools>Options and then make sure the 'player' tab is selected

4.  Check the 'Download Codecs Automatically' box just under 'Automatic Updates'

5.  Click ‘Apply’ or ‘OK’.
